Just a "Norman" day in 4th Class

8th Mar 2022

We had a wonderful treat on the 7th of February!

Frankie, from the Heritage Council visited our class, and brought with her lots of Norman artefacts and ecofacts.

We learned all about the life of a child in Norman times. From what they ate, where they lived, what they did for fun, and how they worked.

We learned some gruesome facts like how they made leather in Norman times, and how Norman ladies used to carry a pouch filled with nice smelling objects that they would smell, to disguise the putrid smell of Norman towns.

The girls (and Mr Wilson) also embraced their inner Normans, when Frankie allowed us to try on some of the helmets, and explore all of the objects she had brought with her.

Check out the pictures!!

Thank you Frankie!
