Mr Wilson's class were embracing their inner "Cartographers" as we learned all about maps! We were inspired by the maps detailed in books like The Lord of The Rings.
We looked at a 'legend' which told us what the various pictures on a map meant.
We designed our own map using a strange medium: basmati rice!!
We poured the rice down on a page, and traced around it. The result gave us each a unique map that we could design.
We had great fun creating features like caves, sea monsters, mountains and rivers.
The resulting maps looked amazing! We'll be seeing them in epic fantasy stories in years to come!
