This week in Geography, Mr. Wilson’s 4th Class became world explorers — without even leaving their seats!
Using iPads, the girls took part in a fun, fast-paced game inspired by the popular GeoGuessr, where they were dropped into a mystery location somewhere in the world using Google Street View. Their challenge? Use clues in the environment to figure out where they were!
Street signs, landscapes, flags, buildings, and even the weather helped our clever geographers make educated guesses. Was it the Australian Outback? The streets of Paris? The wilds of Canada? The game got everyone thinking critically, discussing ideas in pairs, and learning how to read the world around them.
There were some brilliant results! The best team got their location within less than 700m of the real place!!
Not only did the girls explore different countries and continents, but they also built important map-reading and observational skills
