Active Maths in 4th Class

Today 4th class took our Maths lesson outside in the the sunshine and decided to explore length by measuring the length of the yard. 

We used different tools such as our rulers, metre sticks and the trundle wheel but we used the common units metres and centimetres. 

We found the trundle wheel the quickest to use and our rulers the most difficult but had lots of fun and made lots of different discoveries in the process which lead to lots of different discussions.
