Over the past few weeks rang a cúig have been busy learning all about Cork in both History and Geography. The girls explored the historical significance of the Cork crest and discovered the meaning behind our county’s name.
The girls then set off on a journey through Cork where they identified the towns in Cork on a map and analysed the factors that influenced the establishment of Cork City. They learned about everything Cork has to offer, from its stunning tourist attractions to its mouthwatering local dishes. The girls enjoyed learning about the many well-known figures who come from our county.
Bringing all this together, the girls produced a comprehensive tourist brochure showcasing Cork’s key attractions, famous residents and its distinctive food.
