We have been learning all about Spain this week. We discovered that the capital city is Madrid and that Spain is known for its warm, sunny weather. To keep cool, we made our own Spanish fans, just like the ones used in traditional Spanish culture. Julia taught us some Spanish phrases like ‘Hola’ & ‘Gracias’. We also explored delicious Spanish foods like tapas and paella, and learned about fun traditions like flamenco dancing.
We practiced procedural writing by making crisp sandwiches. We each spread the butter on the bread, placed the crisps on top and cut it in half. The girls LOVED their sambos!
The girls have been learning all about the airport and are very excited for their summer adventures! They even made their own passports to get ready for their travels.
