Happy Easter from Junior Infants 🐣 🐇
26th Mar 2026
This week every class in our school had an Easter STEM challenge to do-‘The Egg Drop Challenge’. We had to make a flying device so that an egg could fly and land safely when it is dropped from an upstairs window.
We had brilliant fun chatting and deciding what materials would be best to protect the egg. We took turns wrapping our egg in wool, napkins and paper. We made a nest made of straws so that the egg could sit safely in the centre. We then stuffed a shoe box with lots of padding using feathers, wool and other pieces of paper. We called our egg ‘Sparkle’.
We were so thrilled when Sparkle was fully intact after the fall and we all cheered!
