Over the past few weeks, 5th class have been learning all about Ireland and the European Union in different subjects.
As part of History lessons, the girls explored the origins and development of the EU, gaining a deeper understanding of its foundation and purpose.They also examined Ireland’s decision to join the EU.
In Geography, they explored the geography of member countries. They also learned about the key cities of Brussels and Strasbourg, home to important EU institutions such as the European Parliament.
Finally the girls combined their knowledge of History and Geography to write detailed reports in English on ‘Ireland and the EU’.
