Mr Wilson’s 4th Class Measure the School! 📏
Mr Wilson’s 4th Class recently brought their maths learning outdoors while exploring polygons, length and perimeter.
To put their skills into practice, the class used giant measuring tapes to measure the outdoor walls of the school. Working together in teams, the pupils carefully measured each section of the building and recorded their results.
Back in the classroom, the class added all the measurements together to calculate the perimeter of the school. It was a fantastic way to see how the maths we learn in class can be used in the real world.
The pupils showed great teamwork, problem-solving and measuring skills throughout the activity. They also enjoyed the chance to get outside and take on the role of mathematicians and surveyors for the day! 📐
