Ms Fahy’s Junior Infants have been learning about Pop Art and the artist Andy Warhol. We looked at his bright, colourful pictures and noticed how he repeated the same image using different colours, making each painting unique.
The children used different coloured paper to make their backgrounds and then added a handprint cut-out as another layer on top. After that, they painted over the handprint in black to create a bold print. They loved experimenting with colour and seeing how each picture turned out.🎨
