Science Week

19th Nov 2022

We had a jam-packed week of science fun.

First, we learned all about rockets in our English reader.

On Monday, we looked at how water travels through plants. It was so cool seeing how our celery turned red as it drank our water.

On Tuesday, we investigated solids, liquids and gases. We had great fun making cloud dough and slime using cornflour and conditioner.

We created our own lava lamps which investigated the density of different liquids too.

We after created parachutes using different materials. We investigated how to best make our parachute glide to the ground. Teamwork was essential when creating our parachutes!

Throughout the week we created paper mache volcanoes and finally we watched them explode on Friday. We learned that when an acid and a base mix, it causes a reaction!

As you can see from our photos, we had a great week!!
