Today 4th Class got to experience what it was like to spend a day in Secondary School in Coláiste Éamon Rís and what a day we had!
We made boats in Wood Work using saws and drills and wood burning pens to decorate. We made sure to wear our safety goggles and listen to the teachers so that no fingers were lost in the process.
We then formed a band in music where some of us got to try out new musical instruments such as boom whackers, bass guitars and a ukulele.
We got to become scientists investigating cells on slides using microscopes, we examined what hairy spiders legs looked like up close before seeing how the different colours for fireworks were made. We even got to watch a teacher being set on fire!
We finished up the day by making pancakes in Home Economics, we got to add fruit such as grapes, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries and Nutella or Biscoff to our pancakes. They were delicious!
We had such a great day!
